หลากหลายความคิดเห็นของเยาวชนได้ถูกร้อยเรียงเป็นข้อเสนอเพื่อแสดงสิทธิในการกำหนดทิศการพัฒนาเพื่อความยั่งยืนของประชาคมอาเซียน โดย วิภาวดี พันธุ์ยางน้อย มูลนิธิอาสาสมัครเพื่อสังคม เครือข่ายเยาวชนสืบสานภูมิปัญญา โดยการสนับสนุนขององค์การแอ๊คชั่นเอด ประเทศไทย ได้จัดเวที ASEAN YOUTH FORUM ครั้งที่ 2 ขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 14-17 ต.ค. 52 ณ ประเทศไทย เพื่อให้เยาวชนในภูมิภาคอาเซียนได้มีพื้นที่แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้สถานการณ์การพัฒนาที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อเยาวชน ตลอดจนร่วมกันหาทางออกและสร้างทางเลือกเพื่อจัดทำเป็นข้อเสนอต่อที่ประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียนครั้งที่ 15 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่ ชะอำ-หัวหิน ประเทศไทย ในระหว่างวันที่ 21 – 25 ต.ค. 52 สถานการณ์ในแต่ละประเทศที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อเยาวชนซึ่งถูกนำเสนอในเวทีมีความเหมือนและความแตกต่างตามบริบทและเงื่อนไขด้านทรัพยากร เศรษฐกิจ สังคม วัฒนธรรม และการเมือง แต่ความคาดหวังที่เยาวชนมีต่อทิศทางการพัฒนาอาเซียนกลับไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยยะสำคัญซึ่งอาจจะแสดงให้เห็นถึงความพร้อมของเยาวชนในการก้าวผ่านสู่การเป็นชุมชนเดียวของประชาคมอาเซียน โดยจากการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ด้วยการเปิดใจยอมรับความแตกต่างทำให้เยาวชนในภูมิอาเซียนสามารถรวมตัวกันภายใต้ชื่อกลุ่ม ASEAN YOUTH MOVEMENT (AYM) สำหรับความงดงามที่ AYM มองเห็นว่าเป็นอัตลักษณ์และวัฒนธรรมร่วมของชุมชนอาเซียนคือ รอยยิ้มและไมตรีจิต เนื่องจากการศึกษาคือรากฐานสำคัญของการพัฒนา AYM จึงมีข้อสรุปร่วมกันว่ารัฐสมาชิกอาเซียนจะต้องจัดการศึกษาในระบบให้ทั่วถึงและมีมาตรฐานที่เท่าเทียม ต้องมีการบรรจุหลักสูตรชุมชนท้องถิ่นในการเรียนการสอนทุกระดับ รวมทั้งต้องมีกองทุนกลางอาเซียนสำหรับอุดหนุนด้านการศึกษาให้แก่ประเทศที่ขาดแคลน ทั้งนี้เพราะทุกประเทศในอาเซียนต่างประสบปัญหาด้านศึกษา โดยเด็กและเยาวชนในเขตเมืองจะได้รับการศึกษาที่มีมาตรฐานสูง มีสื่อการเรียนการสอนและมีบุคลากรที่มีคุณภาพ [...]

แถลงการณ์ของเยาวชนไทยต่อต้านการค้าเสรี (FTA) เราในฐานะของเยาวชนไทยและประชาชนบนแผ่นดินไทย ผู้มีลมหายใจเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับเสรีชนบนโลกใบนี้ เนื่องจากสิทธิและการมีชีวิตของเราถูกลิดรอนลง โดยระบบการค้าเสรีที่รัฐร่วมมือกับนายทุนกำหนดขึ้น โดยไม่คำนึงถึงผลกระทบต่อพี่น้อง ประชาชนและคนรากหญ้าอย่างแท้จริง การกดขี่ การเอารัดเอาเปรียบจากระบบการค้าเสรี จึงเกิดขึ้นอย่างถ้วนทั่วไม่มีข้อยกเว้นกับชุมชนและสังคม และวัฒนธรรมอันหลากหลายของเรา ทุกวันนี้พี่น้องประชาชนของเรา ล้มตายจากสงครามการค้าที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง จำนวนมากได้ล้มตายไปแล้ว และมีอีกจำนวนมากที่กำลังจะล้มตายต่อไป หากสงครามการค้ายังดำเนินอยู่ ดังนั้นก่อนที่พี่น้อง ประชาชน ของเราจะล้มตาย เราในนามของเยาวชนไทยต่อต้านการค้าเสรี (FTA) จึงขอประกาศเจตนารมณ์ว่า “ เรา จะขอยืนยันสิทธิอันชอบธรรมของพี่น้องประชาชน ผู้ถูกกดขี่จากสงครามเศรษฐกิจและจะร่วมต่อสู้เพื่อสร้างสังคมที่เป็นธรรม อันประกอบไปด้วยการมีระบบเศรษฐกิจการค้าที่เป็นธรรม การมีสังคมวัฒนธรรมที่หลากหลาย การมีอธิปไตยทางอาหาร การมีสิทธิมนุษยชนขั้นพื้นฐาน และการมีสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ยังยืน” ถึงแม้สิ่งที่เราประกาศออกมานี้ อาจจะเป็นสิ่งที่เป็นอุดมคติ แต่เพราะสิ่งนี้มิใช่หรือที่ทำให้คนหนุ่มสาวของเรายังมีลมหายใจอยู่ และแต่นี้เป็นต้นไป พี่น้อง ประชาชน ของเราสามารถอยู่ร่วมกันโดยสันติและยุติธรรม ไม่ใช่อยู่ด้วยการเอารัดเอาเปรียบซึ่งกันและกัน เราขอเรียกร้องให้เพื่อนหนุ่มสาวลุกขึ้นมาต่อสู้กับเราด้วย ด้วยความศรัทธา กลุ่มเยาวชนไทยต่อต้านการค้าเสรี วันที่ 19 ตุลาคม 2552 Statement of Thai Youth Against FTA We represent [...]
