Join NOW! Human Rights Workshop/December 10th, 2009 – Human Rights Day
Dear ASEAN Youth,
Recently ASEAN Youth Movement has joined the brand-new network of ‘young human right activists’. It is the Youth Partnership for Human Rights (YPHR), mainly formed by YPD (Young People for Democracy Movement), CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange), Isaan Student Human Right Network, Burmese Youth Movement
and other organization/network.
The YPHR network is going to organize the ‘Human Right Workshop’ for their network members on the 10th December 2009 at the October 14th Memorial Foundation.
Our friends in Bangkok are encouraged to join this – for friends who are living outside Bangkok, we don’t have the budget to cover your travel expense yet – hopefully there will be next time for other activities.

Registration must include Name / Organization / Contact information / Human Rights issue that especially interests you.
Workshop Instructions:
Step 1: Facilitator divides youth into 5 separate groups using their “issues” recorded en they entered the building.
Step 2: Groups discuss their issues as related to the ICCPR and ESCR frameworks. Steering committee meeting members or any participant comfortable with facilitating a small group joins the small groups. There should be at least 1 facilitator per small group.
Step 3: The small groups then present their discussions to the larger group, where it will be recorded for later use at later steering committee meetings.
